Toyota Yaris Cross:
Go Beyond in Style
Toyota invited a group of Lisbon-based artists to transform the Yaris Cross into a mobile canvas, each one channelling the city's layered identity through their own visual language. The brief asked for work that could hold two things at once: the weight of Lisbon's classical heritage and the restlessness of its contemporary culture.

This piece draws its inspiration from an azulejo façade on Rua das Cruzes da Sé, in Alfama — tiled in 1918, its geometric complexity as vivid now as when it was made. The patterns were recomposed and recoloured into a design that moves as the car moves: decorative, kinetic, unmistakably of the city.
